Women's Global Leadership Initiative

A new generation of women: creating unity,
strength and initiative through community.

What is Mentorship?

Mentorship is a trusted partnership between two people sharing their knowledge and experiences with each other to gain new insight, perspective and skills. A mentor nurtures the personal and professional growth of their mentee and in return, receives a sense of pride, knowing that one’s ideas are valued. Both parties give and receive objective and constructive feedback, honing their current abilities and gaining fresh ideas. In an organization, mentoring enables a transfer of important knowledge and creates a network/ community of people seeking to help one succeed. By example mentorship encourages more people to participate in community.
